Ballpoint pen drawing based on traces of a re-opened crumpled paper ball.
Inspired by Teresa Burga’s Insomnia Drawings (1974-2004), the work continues her exploration of gesture, automatism, and chance, and alludes to the artists’ common sense of frustration with their own work. The plural form of the title hints at the possibility of this work being a series: this same production method can produce countless “another paintings”, just like how sleepless nights never end
