Luffy* once said, “I’m not going to conquer anything. The one who is the most free... is the pirate king!!!” Perhaps this applies as well to art. The work serves as a humorous response to the distrust of Narrative today and the ideas of “one” and “piece”: translation and reconstruction for the former, whole (as a work) and part (as a manga volume) for the latter.
It was shown in Same Paper’s “amateur Library” (gallery commune, Tokyo, Japan).
