The last sentence of The Communist Manifesto sonified into a piano fragment and aired on Radio Kapitał (Capital* Radio; Warsaw, Poland).
“Communist ideology” is a sensitive topic in Poland. For instance, communist symbols were banned in 2009 (later deemed unconstitutional for limiting free speech) and the Communist Party of Poland (KPP) was banned in 2025. The work explores how to approach materials in ways that focus on shared experiences and avoid advocacy or nostalgia. Its state—between propaganda/satire, text/ideology, language/non-speech audio—highlights how tricky it is to define something.
*In Polish, Kapitał refers only to money (e.g., capitalism), not to city (e.g., Warsaw is the capital of Poland).
