A play of light and vehicles captured in the busiest port of northern Taiwan. It is paired with the lyrics of Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng’s Sweet As Honey (1979), and the sound of Indonesian folk song Dayung Sampan.

Approximately 12,000 Southeast Asian laborers work for Taiwan’s fishery, looking forward to returning home after making money. Sweet As Honey is adapted from Dayung Sampan, which sings about the spirit of fishermen; due to the popularity of both songs, the melody has been blended into the collective memory of Asia, including China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. The work hints at physical/social mobility, evoking endless nostalgia and yet-to-realized dreams. Its karaoke form encourages the replaying and retelling of historical material.
