作品延續陳對開放空間中權力的關注，反思該權力在展場的運作，無論是作者對藝術參與的設限，還是其對作品所有權的自然伸張（曾經的行為者消失，僅留下眾多被歸屬於「展覽現場」的痕跡）。ASCII形式重申藝術作為互動的特質，並保持開放性：它是世界上最通用的電腦藝術形式，適用於可顯示多行文字的電腦系統，且檔案極小方便運行、傳輸、儲存。

The work continues Chen’s focus on power in open spaces, reflecting on how this power operates in the exhibition space, whether it is the authors’ restrictions on the ways of participation or their natural assertion of ownership of the work (as the former actor disappears, leaving only numerous traces attributed to the “installation view”). The ASCII form reiterates the interactive nature of art and maintains openness: it is the most universal computer art form in the world for every computer system capable of displaying multi-line text can display, and the file size is extremely small for easy operation, transmission, and storage.
