Pause can be viewed as both a refusal to produce and a privilege to do so. The work offers a break in a series of videos, progressing through veiling itself. Its title suggests another space which keeps art technically in transit and unseen.
It was shown in Bremen, the capital of the German state of the Free* Hanseatic City of Bremen, and a port city without freeport.
*which originates from its history as a Free Imperial City (a city possessing a high degree of autonomy and subordinated directly to the emperor) during the Holy Roman Empire.

Center for International Research and Collaborative Art, Circa 106 is the current form of the space in Bismarckstraße 106. It has been run by different student groups from the University of the Arts (Hochschule für Künste Bremen).
